“Articulate- the Artist’s Voice” upcoming show at Ciel Gallery in Charlotte, NC
This mosaic will soon hang in Ciel Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina. Here is Ciel’s press release about the show, tailored for my local paper, of course:
Lynn Bridge of Austin, TX has been selected by juror Sonia King for inclusion in articulate : the artist’s voice at Ciel Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Lynn’s work was among twenty-five pieces selected from seventy-seven entries representing eighteen US states as well as Canada, Iran, Colombia, Mexico, and The Netherlands. The exhibition, which will showcase the distinctive style and message of the eighteen artists represented, will celebrate the innovative work being created in contemporary mosaic art today.
Articulate opens September 1, in conjunction with the Democratic National Convention. A reception with several of the artists and juror Sonia King will be held Friday, September 7, 6:00 – 9:00 PM, and the public is welcome to attend. Additionally, renowned mosaicist King will give a slideshow and lecture entitled “State of the Art: Contemporary Mosaic” on Saturday, September 8, free with advance reservations. The exhibition will run September 1 – October 27, 2012.
